Foreign aid, for us?

Thanks to everyone who educated me about the International aid that was sent to the USA to help those that were hit hard by Katrina. After seeing all the aid we received I wouldn't be surprised if we saw similar aid for those hit by Ike, but the fact that we received so much aid for Katrina from other nations is enough to prove me wrong about my views. Part of the reason for my rant was that we have Newgrounds users who were hit by Ike, may have lost their homes, jobs, etc. We hope that they get the support they need to pick up the pieces and get themselves back on track.

Our stock market has fallen to its lowest in 3 years, compaines are going bust left right and center, our 3rd biggest holiday company XL, went bankrupt leaving 1000s of people stranded banks are closing down at an increasing rate, and you want us to help you??

Sadly Wade, I think its still globally "cool" to hate the USA. I say this because I commonly ask foreigners that i meet what their opinion of the US was before and after they got here. Most say the thought we were all fat jerks before, and changed their minds after.

I also think that when we disperse aid to countries, its often because they aren't able to disperse any real aid themselves. I'm sure we are still able to disperse some aid to ourselves.

I'm confused about the UK having to provide aid when I'm not so sure they've got any aid from the US....

And I'm sure there's plenty of that popular AIDS virus spreading over there...In the US' case I think its infected GAYS that can't keep their dicks in their pants...(if we're going to stoop to that level!)

Shortly after the distaster of Katrina, the British sent rations to victims of the hurricane (when the United States eventually allowed help from other countries). Included was a chocolate bar (Yorkie bar) and biltong. The slogan for Yorkie bars is 'It's Not For Girls!' as in weaklings who can't handle the biscuit inside. The victims took this literally, thinking that the British would legalise food that is harmful to females. Burning the Yorkie bars, they also thought that the British would give them biltong made from cows with Mad-Cow Disease, and burnt that as well. In the end, they had wasted perfectly edible food and had nothing to eat. We might help you again, hopefully with a better outcome.

Umm.. it's not just africans that have AIDS, you stereotypical douche. Anyone, be it black, white, or asian all have AIDS alike. So, think the next time you speak. This way, you don't have as many people yelling at you like I am. I also find your logic extremely flawed. The USA is one of the last remaining super-powers on Earth. I don't expect Africa to send help to, because we don't need the help, we don't have to worry about the government coming and wiping out our entire town in the middle of the night. It is up to the USA to be a role model and send help to other countries that need it the most. We have so much that other countries can't even dream of. We have freedom, we have the liberty to speak for ourselves, and we have Newgrounds. Other people in needy countries are lucky to get a bowl of rice. It is up to us to unite the human race together.

Then why have we been sending millions, or billions, to Africa to help them with their AIDS problem? Obviously people around the world suffer from AIDS, but not on the same scale as those in parts of Africa.

if america goes to war, we go to war

not enough oil to help out
it goes the same with zimbabwe
no oil, no help
Iraq has LOTS of oil so that is why they got "help"
but people are getting more greedy and they only want to do jack shit

I believe all the countries you mentioned sent aid after katrina

I haven't heard about any for this newest wave of hurricanes but aid is usually only sent after complete catastrophes
