in the future, wade. The sun will turn into a "big-red" and everyone will be laughing/screaming this whole global warming thing off.

HAHAHAHA! Take that Al Gore!! There IS a real reason behind it all! I knew there had to be a logical reason behind, if it is even true which i don't believe it is, global warming.

I was just wondering if you could change my username because I wasn't here on the day where everybody had the chance to change their username and what a shame I came the week after ya'll did that and since everyone's telling me that you do the username changing I just wanted to know if you could do that favor for me. If you can that would be great and if you can't then that's okay(well not really). Oh and I want my username to be NeonLeo if you needed the info. Thanx!

I blame nothing for climate change. Back in the 70s people were worried about global COOLING, and global warming is just...something I don't buy into. For some reason, I find the whole idea of it pretty silly, I don't think it makes much sense to make a big deal about climate change, since the climate is NEVER stable.

And I believe there has been a rise of .6 degrees over the last 100 years, I could be wrong though.

That proves the world needs more ice.

Hmmm yes but all our contribution with cars and planes cause the greenhouse effect - aha! gotcha there wade! My techer teches me this :>

OOOo and deforestation, wtf are we doing that for - so what - furniture or life?

Thats been my theory for so long, the government just wants out money & control.

Our money & control*

Well I studied this a bit in geography, honestly I did not read all that. But I am thinking it was about the suns temperature fluctuating being warmer at the current century, and colder in previous.
Evidence to prove this is the charts going back over the last few ice ages, the temperture rises and falls in a cycle and in the past the global warming we are seeing now has also previously been hit in the past as far back as they can tell.
However due to the global warming being a natural cycle, it still does not help what we are doing, as it may reach these temperatures anyway, but we are still adding fuel to the fire. And so, we cannot blame it entirely on the sun, we still do need to take action as otherwise we might exceed the cycle and make it infact much worse.
What do you think?

Wow, now I can sleep again...oh wait...what about 2012.

I do not believe in Al Gore's theory since I watched An Inconvenient Truth.

The only thing I believe about Al Gore is that he knows how to profit off of people by scaring them.

Wow... interesting views on this topic from everyone... and you seem to have an acceptable viewpoint on it. Yeah, sun gets hotter, we get warmer and toasty due to an excess amount of UV rays, and then it backs off. But then again, we contribute slightly to it. Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs for short) bond with ozone to make other molecules. But we're fixing that, and should continue doing so. Earth was here long before us, and we have been abusing it like you wouldn't believe, and releasing harmful toxins into the atmosphere in which may have contributed to the greenhouse gases. But... I think that we are not the sole problem of "global warming." We may be just a small fraction in it. But we have to improve our actions. This will probably reduce global warming so that we don't slammed with as severe temperature increase.
And as for "natural disasters," thing, the whole entire reason for a hurricane or other severe weather condition is right in the title. "Natural" disaster. You are right Wade, we have nothing to do with these disasters. They will occur as life goes on due to wind currents, temperature, moon's position in relation to the Earth, and a whole other things that are scientific. They will happen, on larger or smaller scales than what we hae experienced.

And if we use more LEDs, the world would be better too.

the sun doesn't heat up that quickly, it is mostly mankinds fault.

WOW! Go do more research about the Sun and how it impacts us.

AndrewGlisson11, maybe you should open your eyes. It is ignorant think that we are the sole problem of global warming. Try reading the article Mr. Wade has posted.

I'm still going to use less energy, there's no shame that.

THAT'S CRAZY!!!!

I wonder why the UN never invented a weather control device

the world actually might end in 2012 so we might not have to worry about global warming

FINALLY, somone that supports what i've been saying for years! I mean, i'm not saying we're definitely not the cause of global warming, which we may just be, i'm saying that it seems SO much more likely that a planet that has been around for so long would be in a natural cycle, other than assuming that we, who have existed on earth and have been emitting carbon for an entirely insignificant fraction, like one 5487846548745484564156487685547654785 7985435468765457878744687469878745468 4867987987435468487458767487876878th, (duh, i don't know the exact statistic) of that could have caused what appears to be significantly changing our Earth. It just doesn't seem to make much sense, when we blame ourselves for something we ASSUME to be true... until we find definitive proof that WE'RE causing this (which i seriously doubt will happen) i just think it's extremely idiotic to punish ourselves for something we don't know SHIT about.

NOONE seems to be providing evidence that we are the cause of it, they just say that the planets been warming and we've been emitting carbon, ergo, our carbon emissions are causing global warming... well, this may sound dismissive, but what if its a COINCIDENCE?! i mean for christ sake, how can we call it fact if its just possibility?

Anyway, i'm rambling, so i'll just say from here that i totally agree with you, Wade.

then how does the sun get hotter?

Wow, you need to study up on things like that. The Sun is a giant ball of burning gases. You think a giant ball of burning gases is going to be stable and burn the same temp all the time? Have you ever heard of sun spots, solar flares, etc? The Sun does some crazy shit, and the changes in the Sun directly impact the Earth.
