Global Cooling

There is a lot more chatter now about Global Cooling. If we are actually going into a period of global cooling it would be bad for all of us. Shorter growing seaons, more energy needed to heat homes, etc. This is an interesting bit about how the Russians believe we are going into a period of global cooling and how they are taking advantage of it:

Joe Bastardi is a very talented meteorologist and has been on many of the major cable news networks to discuss weather events, usually Hurricanes. He's one of the best long range forecasters out there and has an excellent grasp of our weather history. I'd believe him over Al Gore any day.

Global cooling sounds like a good thing, if it could just synchronize it's damn schedule with global warming. I mean, a steady exchange of the two couldn't really hurt...

Global cooling means the Earth's net temperature would decrease, not stay the same, or wash with global warming.

They don't let those pesky environmentalists push them around. They need money, they drill for oil and natural gas. This is what the USA should be doing, but for some reason we can't drill while trying to also improve alternatives like solar, wind, etc.

Well around 2000 or late 1990s. There was some news about a 2nd Ice Age and now we have scientists saying that the world is warming, and now you posted about Global Cooling. I'd believe more in Global Cooling than Global Warming to be honest.
