Mighty fine tree you have there! Lots of lights... excellent!
I know what you mean about LEDs hurting your eyes when on a christmas tree, last year we had LEDs on our christmas tree and it was annoying if you were watching the TV and the LEDs over power the TV. But now that we have the LED lights from last year as well as new light bulbs, my mum put the LEDs round our mirror in our dining room, which is annoying since you get the LEDs and then a reflection of them... But anyway, luckily my mum wanted proper bulbs which are pretty sweet, they are kind of suttle. I was quite impressed about our tree seeing that we only got it on Sunday, and the place we go to had hardly any stock left, but my Dad always searches out the best. He wants to keep the tree for next year, so he bought one with the roots instead of having a stump.

Wade, that is a lot of lights.

wow got enough lights I think I see a tree in there.

wow... lights, now if you spent all that time on lights it must take a long time for ornaments.
did u get the pm about the faulty judgement screens?

Awesome tree that is amazing. I only have a wimpy 6 - 7 ft tree, but your electricity bill is probably off the charts now. Well have a Merry Christmas

Ooohh, that sure is a nice clock!

It looks truly epic, Wade. I think it's quite big enough, for mine is only 6ish feet high. Were I go in Jersey we only had like 20 full grown trees this year. I was disappointing, but we still got something.

If the title was changed to 'OH SNAP! CHRISTMAS TREE!', I'm sure most of us would be laughing ourselves to death.

The only thing I noticed was that there's no 'star' on top.

nice tree

Yo i got a tip. if you got that lot of lights and ornament, but still not enough space, buy a verry big tree and set it up in the backyard outside teh living room or something. The presents can be put into big black plastic bags before layed under so they wont get wet.

Outside it will be a lot easier since u dont have to drag it into the house, its more wet in the area around it, and it will spread more xmas "aura" since more passing by people is will see the tree.

I'm guessing these are LED lights on your tree?

Not, no LED's yet. The LED Christmas lights I've seen are kind of obnoxious since they flicker at a high speed, like a computer monitor, but it's noticeable to me. The regular incan bulb lights have a nice soothing glow, the LED lights have a harsh looked that make me feel like I'm going to have a seizure and get a headache and hurts my eyes. :)

I'm waiting until they improve on the LED Christmas lights, or find a brand I like.

With LED's, it's common to strobe them at say 50-60hz, like a computer monitor, so they are only on half the time, so they use half the power. They do this with LED flashlights too. However, some flashlights strobe at 100hz or faster so it's not as noticeable. They just need to increase the hz of the Christmas lights to reduce the strobing look, or find another way to power them efficiently.

I heard that if you put asprin in the tree's water, it will dry out more slowly.

I have special tree food to mix with water that the tree farm sells. Not sure if it helps much, but the tree has been drinking water like crazy, and seems to be less dry than it was when I got it. Mythbusters did some testing on different techniques to improve Christmas tree life, and I think plain water may have been best, and I think the one tree they sprayed with hair spray did well, but I'm not trying that one. :)

Holy shit, Wade, that tree is awesome. My family has a fairly small christmas tree, about 1 and a half metres high, which is potted, so we don't have to buy a new one each year. I prefer it to having to buy a new tree each year, or having a fake one.

Anyway, Merry Christmas for 6 days time!

Wow! Big tree.

Every year we put candles instead of light son our tree. Its fun.

Sounds dangerous. Christmas tree fires usually result in a major house fire if they ignite. :) Unless you're putting candles in an artificial tree that isn't very flamable. Hope you keep fire extinquishers handy. :)

My parents decided to get a real tree this year, I usually dont care but its in the way of the TV. ;(

Nothing like the ritual killing of thousands of trees to make the holidays complete

Have a Merry Christmas!

If that's sarcasm read my post about how buying (and killing) live Christmas trees is good for the environment.

It's to fat like yourself.

I always have a fake tree at my house, my entire family is too lazy to acctually take care of it and the needles on the ground always get stuck in the dog's fur. :P

Beautiful tree you got there!
