Wow, that was pretty awesome! I reminds me of the time a while ago (maybe a week ago) that there was this pretty heavy thunderstorm In my town. I was lying on my bed when I just so happened to be looking out the window, then this pretty close strike hit the ground outside my house.

After about 2 hours after the storm was over, I went to look outside at the strike's spot, then I saw it. A big gaping gash in the dirt ground. It was pretty freaky.

I'm looking forward to the spring for my pictures. Though now that I know the iPhone's video quality looks like the videos you posted in the Android v. iPhone thread I'll have to use it more often.

Have you lost any electronic Devices in your House to the storm? I had a similar incident during some in July. Lost alot of my great stuffz. Plus, Stormchasers stated that This was an El Nino Season too.

I think the photographer spent a fair few years trying to take this kind of photo. I think it pays off well.
