That's a.... weird hobby. How did you come up with that? /:S
I'm old and grew up around electronics. My father is into HAM radio, and has always had all kinds of electrical parts, tools, soldering equipment, etc, laying around the place. So pretty much all my life I've been tinkering with that kind of stuff.
Growing up we were still in a time where people would try to fix things that broke. Now we live in a throw away society, so if an electronic device breaks, we just toss it and buy a new one, or have it sent away for repair, etc.
Some things I will try to fix myself when I can. Like sometimes the kids toys break, so I open them up and may find a wire needs to be re-soldered. Our space heater's switch broke so I opened it up and fixed it, etc.
Brighter than the sun! I'll stare at it for hours. Thats how I got 20/70 (think thats right) vision! :D
That hobby could prove to actually be damn usefull in life :)
Makes me wonder what you could come up with using a bag full of LED's and parts and an ambition to make a light-sabre? Now that would be seriously cool. If you make one for you or your kids can I have one too pls?? :P
While I couldn't make a real light sabre, obviously, I might be able to modify an existing one and make it brighter.
So this is why you're never on paltalk because we all know, what your kids have, you play with ;D

Hey that's awesome wade! Ever think of wiring up a car with those things? Damn they would be useful about this time of year, it's gonna be a cold one right across the continent, and something like your kids toys might actually help haul stuff home from the store (you know, if the car won't start or something.
Anyways, I don't know if you've seen the one ep. of Mythbusters where they tested out a whole variety of different lights to see how long they lasted, but it was cool. For those of you who haven't seen it, they turned a bunch of lights on and off to see how long they would last, and this sci-fi looking LED light kicked ass all the way. So yeah, those suckers are like the Energizer bunny.

That's cool, but wade I got a problem! I tried emailing you and Pming you for help, but it doesn't seem to work. I also got a problem on the forums where a mod or someone was deleting my garbage whistle crew's meetings. We tried to post, but some mod keeps on deleting it or locking it. My crew needs this space to talk between members. Anyone can join but someone is deleting our threads. We are following all the rules! Can you please help us!

It's not that I just like flashlights, it's that I'm fascinated by the developements being made with LED technology, and flashlights are one of the things taking advantage of the latest and greatest LED's.
