Yeah, I was a few miles away from the fire when it was going. I didn't have to evacuate though. My school was shut down for a few days, so that was pretty sweet.
I wish I would have taken some pictures of the sky and the sun. The entire sky was a shade of gray and the sun was a rich, bright shade of red. It was pretty incredible. They would've been awesome pictures. Oh, well. I'll get another chance in a few years. :P
