I've had some users requesting more OH SNAP posts, with pictures of critters, nature, etc. I was at my parents' house last night for dinner and I usually find lots of good OH SNAP material in their yard. However, like an idiot, I forgot to bring my camera. However, I had the iPhone's camera and a pocket magnifier which lets me take close up shots with the iPhone. They come out kinda crappy, but with a little adjustment in an image program, it's acceptable. So I found this big toad there, this picture really doesn't do it justice. I wish I got a shot of the whole toad because it was really fat, looked kind of like those Pacman frogs. Here it is:

Wow, great quality.
All I have is a Sony Ericcson K800i. Photo quality is OK, but it occasionally jumbles the image around randomly and ruins the picture when I upload it to my laptop. :(
Should've taken a picture of it compared to a lawn gnome, if any were available.

I think those toads lay their eggs inside of the thin layer of skin on their back. Then it goes into the water and let's the tadpoles pop out like popping a zit.

I've seen that toad/frog that does that, it's one of the grossest things I've ever seen. I don't think these toads do that.

I had to grab it and pick it up so I could put it somewhere for a picture. I was waiting for it to pee, but it didn't. They usually pee all over when you pick them up, hehe.
I see plenty of those in my neighbourhood, they sometimes go on the roads and die because of the cars =(

i once saved a frog's life. it was drying out so i picked it up, rushed it to the canal and set it free!
i like frogs because they eat snails, them and toads are lovely creatures.
Toads are my favorites. I myself got a thousand frogs coming into our pleasant garden, and turn it into a Fuck-Spot... Ah, the summers we all had..
